Senior Storage Architect Job Description   This Senior Infrastructure Storage Architect will be responsible for designing, documenting and maintaining the storage and/or the backup/restore infrastructure of a client environment.  The Architect will be required to maintain a strong knowledge of emerging storage technologies and to provide input to the client regarding continuous improvement opportunities. The architect will participate as a technical expert and is responsible for the delivery of the technical architectural design, strategies and plans that will be a delivered in the engagement. Translate high-level requirements into specific designs for large-scale, high-performance storage systems & distributed computing environments. We're a boot-strapped pre-launch start-up looking for someone with a progressive aesthetic (it's like obscenity, we'll know it when we see it ;-) ) to help us put the polish on our little product before we send it out into the big bad world. We have clear ideas about the brand promise we're trying to cultivate, but are a blank slate when it comes to how to visually represent it (which is a nice way of saying there's no legacy VisDe or identity work to hold you back). The first version of the Site UI will only contain several pages, and we have wireframes documenting all the ID. But, any suggestions on ID best practices and improvements you may come up with are a definite plus. This is a contract gig (probably ~2 weeks to start) with a strong potential for follow-on engagements in the near future, as we have a rather aggressive and UI intensive product roadmap post launch. There is also the possibility of full-time employment, but that would be a ways off.
