The Intuit Small Business Software Engineering team is looking for a highly talented Staff Software Engineer to be a leader in the development of a next generation Enterprise Suite application for mid market customers.

The responsibilities include:
- Driving the design and implementation of product features
- Ensuring high quality of the deliverables
- Providing technical leadership to other engineers
- Working closely with Product Management and other Product Leaders to fully understand and document the requirements
- Working closely with Architects to ensure that the designs meet the tactical and strategic needs of the organization
- Working closely with engineering management to plan and track the progress of tasks
- Presenting design ideas and decisions throughout the Small Business Division
- Working closely with offshore teams. occasional travel may be required.

 

Required Skills:
- BSCS or equivalent with at least 10 years of software development experience
- At least 5 years of Java experience
- Strong leadership experience in leading a team to deliver high quality products
- Strong problem solving skills with a history of driving the development of major software components
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong influence management skills.
- Good judgment and pragmatic approach to delivering software

Desired Skills:
- Experience with WPF
- Experience with CRM products
- Agile development process experience
- Experience with Flex, JSP, Javascript, and Ajax
