The Revenue Analyst will have primary responsibility for worldwide Revenue forecasting, recognition, and collections.  The position will report directly to the Director of Ad Operations, with a strong working relationship with the Sales and Finance organizations.  The Revenue Analyst will provide revenue inputs into the weekly revenue dashboard. The Revenue Analyst will help forecasting revenue and ongoing updating of the forecast.  In addition, the position will supervise the accounts receivable functions.  

General Responsibilities:

  • Revenue recognition
  • Support Finance by providing timely and accurate revenue for the monthly close process
  • Drive detail aspect of corporate budgets and forecasts. 
  • Work closely with Ad Sales and Operations departments on revenue recognition issues and associated sales contract structuring
  • Commission plan calculation
  • Help with revenue related policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Timely revenue budget vs actual information and revenue inputs for budget process

 

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Reporting

-      Commission calculation

Personal Requirements:

  • Independent, self starter
  • Ability to work with departments outside finance organization, especially sales executives
  • Ability to help company’s scale their revenue function
  • Can effectively interact and supervise others
  • Flexible and team player
  • “Can do” attitude

 

Experience:

  • Prior Financial/Revenue Analyst experience – Minimum 2 years and significant revenue analysis responsibility
  • GAAP revenue recognition strong knowledge
  • Experience with online advertising sales model
  • Start-up company experience
  • Strong excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Rapidly growing revenue environment
  • B.S. in Finance.  MBA preferred.
