Mid Tier Engineer

We're a small team of veteran engineers and product/business folks with ties across Silicon Valley, working on a startup in the mobile workforce space that's about to come out of stealth mode and into the light. We're backed by some of the biggest ventures names in the valley with plenty of runway. 

We have a successful group of pilot customers and we're experiencing exponential traffic growth. As one of our first employees, you will be pivotal in shaping and growing our engineering team. We're going to grow very quickly and need someone who's ready to jump in and run with us at breakneck speed.

Do you write code in your sleep? Read Hacker News with your morning coffee? Wish more things in life came with a command line interface? They you're probably going to be a great fit for us.

We're headquartered in Mountain View, in a great warehouse space a few minutes from downtown. We activly reject office stereotypes and value getting work done over meetings and office bullshit.


Things we're looking for in you:
* LEMP stack (Linux, Nginx, MySQL, PHP)
* Developer API design and development
* Amazon Web services (Cloud front, EC2, S3, RDS)
* Version-control (SVN, Git)
* Efficient MySQL query design
* Memcache
* MVC design patterns
* Scaling systems to meet large traffic requirements
* Automated building and deploying to multiple data centers
* Located the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate (Valid US work
authorization)
* Excitment at the thought of finally being able to work on a product written
the RIGHT way

Extra Bonus:
* Javascript frameworks (we use jQuery)
* Key/value store systems (Redis, Membase, etc)
* Experience with mobile development (iPhone / Android)
* Understanding of the binary language of moisture vaporators
