A qualified candidate will be intelligent, personable, punctual, cautious, flexible with their schedule, able to make sound judgment calls quickly, willing to learn from and mentor your peers with best practices in mind, and be an excellent communicator.   This candidate must have a balance of technical skills, with solid understanding of the aforementioned responsibilities, including configuration, implementation, and maintenance of the various technologies and systems that fall under the responsibility of IT Operations. Candidate must build strong working relationships with coworkers, direct reports (if applicable), customers (internal and external), and company management.

  • A good understanding of a UNIX- based operating system, TCP/IP networking, 3 Tier architecture, troubleshooting, and security.
  • 1-2 years of Linux/Unix experience; a degree in relevant field can be considered in lieu of experience
  • Familiarity with basic computing concepts such as DNS, Email, Networking, Installations etc
  • Troubleshooting technical problems, Logical and methodical thinking to solve complex issues
  • Must be willing to work at off hours, Rack and stack servers, carry pager.
  • Good attitude, Work Ethic and willingness to learn new technologies
  • Must pass background check
