Effectively lead a team of senior system administrators to provide IT services across the company.

Work with peers and management to create greater efficiency in providing system operations support

Work with internal customers to determine the infrastructure products and services needed to support their Internet sites

Partner with the customers to set mutual expectations and SLAs where needed and review actual performance metrics.

Develop a effective methodology for managing service queues and establish priorities while managing ongoing new requests.

Undertake numerous, complex projects, tasks, and/or problems, properly prioritize and deliver a high-performing business solution.

Motivate and Build high performance, customer focused teams.


QUALIFICATIONS


Deep understanding of Systems Administration and support of a 24x7 critical infrastructure and applications.

6-10 years of extensive experience in implementing and operating large, scalable, high performing, highly available web applications with significant domain expertise in several of the following domains: Systems, Storage, Networking, Security, Infrastructure Availability, Load Balancers, and Database management.

Experience in building and leading teams that provide shared services in a medium to large, global (over 3,000 users around the world) business.

Must possess and be able to demonstrate excellent customer service and people management skills.

Experience working with senior management to establish priorities and consistently execute successful service delivery.

Demonstrated ability to properly prioritize numerous requests/projects, and align the user expectations with delivery capabilities

Solid experience and knowledge of several operating environments, including Linux, Solaris, AIX, Windows, Tomcat, Apache and the Java stack.

Experience in LAMP, RDBMS technologies and in open source solutions is strongly desired.

Must have shell scripting experience (bash, ksh, etc.). Programming experience desired (Python, Perl, C/C++, Java).
