We are searching for a motivated system operations engineer to become a key member of the Platform as a Service Group team responsible for the Operation & Maintenance of the QuickBase and Intuit Partner Program platforms and data network. This is a permanent position based out of Waltham, MA to provide day to day operational support of all business unit related service infrastructure.

Specific team responsibilities are:
* Deploy and maintain scores of servers, storage systems, virtual machines, and network equipment within multiple data centers and lab environments
* Utilize proven skills and knowledge, to provide troubleshooting and timely resolution of complex system, application, system performance, networking, and clustering problems.
* Collect requirements and understand complex dev/test problems and then be able to design, communicate, deliver and maintain solutions.
* Extend and improve the platform's strong uptime record by fine tuning processes and planning for adequate future capacity and growth.
* Maintain and extend strong relationships with internal and external hosting partners
* Provide Tier-3 support and participate in 24x7 on-call incident escalation rotations
* 3+ years of Internet/Systems Operations experience supporting distributed computing in 24x7 production environments.
* Deep knowledge of complex server hardware and network design, setup, configuration, maintenance, trouble shooting and problem solving, and world class technical customer service skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
* Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ year relevant industry experience.
Desired Technical Familiarity:
* Server Class OS and Web Hosting. (Windows Server, IIS)
* SQL Database (MS SQLServer)
* Scripting / Tool Smith (Perl, WSH/VBScript, Javascript, Powershell, Batch)
* Large Scale Systems / Clustering / Load Balancing
* Real-time and long-term performance monitoring
