You can contact Sunita Sarin (Formerly a Recruiter at Yahoo) at sunita@green-hires.com Responsibilities: Maintain, improve, and manage our Hadoop cluster Expert in MySQL: replication, optimization and setup Develop tools (PHP and Perl) to automate the deployment, administration and performance monitoring within a Linux environment, typically at the operating system, network, and server levels; e.g. CPU utilization, memory utilization, disk I/O, etc. Administer application-level knowledge of back-end systems architecture, as well as contributing to their overall design to monitor and sustain our high standards of availability and performance Requirements: 3+ years Technical Operations or Production Engineering experience in a highly-scalable, distributed, very large multi-node environment (1000+ nodes) 4+ years of Unix environment experience (Red Hat Linux, FreeBSD) including Shell scripting Software development experience in PHP and Perl Custom network and application monitoring/instrumentation experience (Perl, PHP) as well as familiarity with Open Nagios Significant troubleshooting and performance tuning skills/experience (TCP/IP, DNS, and Load balancing) Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills including the ability to handle stress, self starting ability, and multi-tasking Depth of understanding of Grid computing, Hadoop, advanced server clustering and distributed programming Must be an expert in MySQL
