About us

Wiredrive makes creative apps for creative people to manage and present work-in-progress and market the best creativity in advertising, television and film. We’re small, which means you have a voice. In fact, we expect you to speak your mind. Our team is passionate (sometimes too passionate) about the code we write because clients, the best content producers in the business, demand it. Our media-centric data gives us the opportunity to solve some very interesting problems. People work hard here because they want to; not because they’re made to. We’re genuinely interested in each other’s lives. We’re a Facebook-like culture without the cafeteria, number of employees and billions of dollars. We are very stable financially. We just gave out iPads to our entire company. Our clients use them, our staff should, too. We order food regularly, provide snacks, soda, coffee, beer, etc. We have a stellar crew on both coasts. We like what we do . . . a lot.

About you

You rock and you know it. But you also know how to collaborate with a team of other pretty exceptional people. You value communication and do it well. Your code is too good to simply copy and paste. Unit tests aren’t annoying because you know they save time in the long run and lead to quality work. You write code (at least in part) because you love doing it. You’d probably still code if you we’re a CEO, retail manager, construction worker, independently wealthy, delivered pizza, etc. You like working with media. You know that SaaS is where it’s at. You like creating something that people depend on daily that might send an entire industry to a grinding halt if it were to go offline. Hopefully, you like dogs as much as we do. Feel free to bring yours to work, as long as they’re sweet and won’t eat a client.

Skills we hope you have

  • Advanced knowledge of AJAX/HTML/CSS/Object-oriented JavaScript
  • Working knowledge of PHP, JSON, XMLHttpRequest, DOM
  • Experience with building large scale web applications
  • Strong object oriented development and design skills
  • Knowledge of YUI JavaScript framework
  • Experience building cross-browser compliant applications with graceful degradation
  • Experience with front end/browser based unit testing
  • Passion for technology and internet applications
  • Nutty about user experience and interface design
