VideoEgg is looking for a SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER to join our team.  We're a group of customer-focused engineers who think that passionate debate with smart colleagues produces a better product.  We believe in small teams and an iterative process.  We value a friendly, social work environment, and respect the need for a life outside of the office.
 
In this role you will:

  • Help build the back-end systems that power our network – from portals and reporting tools to Hadoop-based data warehouse infrastructure and ad delivery systems.  
  • Design complex systems, write code (primarily Java), lead design and code reviews
  • Coach and mentor other engineers
  • Work across the entire development lifecycle to ship products that are critical to the success of the business

 
Requirements:

  • 7+ years web application development.  Extensive experience with open-source web technologies (MySQL, Java, Hibernate, Spring, Python, GWT all plusses) and Linux/Unix based development.
  • Proven commitment to best practices: continuous integration, unit testing, agile principles, clear code and documentation
