We're looking to hire a Senior Data Quality Analyst to join the Mint.com team. To date, we've been named a Times Top 50 Website, one of the Top 10 iPhone apps of 2009, won 4 Webby Awards, and received the best Personal Finance Tool from Money, Kiplingers, PC World and PC Magazine. Responsibilities:
• Work directly with developers, data analysts, and customers to understand the context and requirements for each data service or product. • Assure the quality of analytical reports, dashboards, and data access APIs. • Develop test plans and write SQL queries to verify the availability and accuracy of data set produced for internal and external customers. • Ensure accuracy of results produced as a result of data analysis. • Automate frequent data availability and accuracy tests using internal and external APIs and tools.
Ideal candidate should have:
• Strong knowledge of SQL, and a good understand of performance considerations in large data analysis • Experience with Data Warehousing, ETL, and deep data mining. • Good knowledge of scripting languages, should be able to automate repetitive parts of data analysis with ease • Experience working with reporting tools, for example Pentaho, JasperReports, CrystalReports • Experience analyzing and reporting on large data sets or testing same • Previous experience working with RDBMS like MySQL, Oracle, PGSQL required • Experience in running and/or a good understanding of statistical analysis techniques • BS degree in computer science/math/statistics • Strong analytical skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills; • 5+ Years software QA experience • Strong understanding of Software Quality Assurance policies and procedures. • Experience writing test plans, detailed test cases, and other formal test documentation • Excellent analytical, interpersonal communication and coaching skills. • Ability to troubleshoot and analyze application issues to root cause where possible. • B.S./M.S. Degree in applicable field, preferably Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology, Statistics, or equivalent experience in applicable fields.
