Come join Intuit as part of the Small Business Production Operations team as a Sr Application Operations Engineer. We are looking for creative problem solvers with a passion for innovation to join our team and revolutionize the way the world does business. As Senior Application Operations Engineer on the Production Operations team, you will oversee the day to day work of our rapidly expanding web-based offerings targeted at global Small Businesses, ensuring service scalability and reliability with an "always on" mindset. While acting as a liaison between Development teams and corporate operations, you will be a primary escalation point to resolve production/hosting related issues being worked by the team. You will lead various incident, problem and "run-the-business" functions end to end for all offerings, developing and improving processes and managing by metrics. Additionally you will apply your project management skills to coordinating capacity improvements, releases, maintenances and system improvements across competing needs. You are the gateway for production releases, ensuring that new releases meet the needs of Production Operations. You will assist in evaluating infrastructure improvements for long term growth and cost efficiency. You will recognize and promote best practices. This is a fast paced dynamic environment which requires an energetic self starter with creative approaches to solving complex problems. If you are a self-motivated, innovative problem solver who thinks smart and makes the right things happen; if you have a customer outside in focus; we would like to hear from you. 6+ years systems administration experience managing enterprise Unix/Linux/Oracle environment 2+ years in a production operations role supporting SaaS offerings Skills required include Scripting (Shell, Perl, CGI, etc.), X, Mail, SSH, HTTP/S, Networking, web hosting technologies, some flavor of Java technologies (Java, JDBC, Jserv, JBOSS). You must be proficient with Oracle database administration, including understanding of backup and recovery procedures. Knowledge of database performance tuning and PL/SQL is a plus. Excellent troubleshooting capabilities Good team leadership skills, with strong communication proficiency Excellent Project Management skills Must possess ability to work effectively and efficiently in a cross-functional environment ITIL Certification a plus B.S.
