We are looking for a responsible Operations Engineer committed to doing great work and having fun at the same time. We look most highly upon candidates who demonstrate quick smarts, original ideas, enthusiasm for their work, and have a knack for troubleshooting.

What you will be doing:
-Doing anything it takes to further the growth of Intuit and have fun doing it
-Supporting a 24x7x365 highly available production environment with hundreds of thousands of active users
-Being on-call, responding to, and resolving incidents in the production environment
-Assisting a team of engineers in deploying regular builds to the testing and production environments
-Working closely with the development and QA departments to configure environments to facilitate testing
-Automating processes to reduce manual involvement
-Configuring and utilizing monitoring tools to ensure high uptime
-Helping us make our group the best place to work anywhere
Qualifications :
-Excellent communication and teamwork skills
-Unsurpassed attention to detail
-BS in Computer Science (or equivalent)
-Extensive experience with LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP/Perl)
-Extensive knowledge of shell scripting and make
-Experience with installation, configuration, and performance tuning of Apache
-Experience with SSL certificates
-Experience with application servers including JBoss and Tomcat
-Familiarity with the use of source control repositories (Perforce preferred)
-Experience with content deployment systems
-Familiarity with Windows (2000, 2003, 2008) a plus
-Exposure to TCP network monitoring a plus
-Programming experience with C++, Java, C#, Ruby on Rails a plus
-SQL and database experience a plus
