Sr. Distributed Database Systems Engineer

We are looking for a seasoned database engineer/programmer to improve our distributed data model and apply it to our web applications. You will make the applications more scalable through better use of software libraries.

Duties:

    * Implement distributed datasets and update application code
    * Add to and improve application caching subsystem
    * Help manage relevant parts of the infrastructure

 
Qualifications:

    * 5+ years software development experience
    * 3+ years database programming experience, MySQL preferred
    * 3+ years PHP and Python experience
    * Experience changing schema for a hosted internet application
    * Experience with distributed computing needed
    * Ability to write and deploy tight code is a must.
    * Linux/Unix expertise is key.
    * Apache, MySQL, Memcached system experience and acumen 
     * Hbase, Hadoop, BigTable experience a big plus
