Our Manhattan client is a leading independent interactive agency specializing in website design, development and search & online advertising for Fortune 500 and mid-sized companies.  This is a full time, on-site, salaried position located in New York City.  Locals preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

Architect and lead development of a highly innovative and scalable web-based content and asset management application. 
 
Required Skills & Background:

* 4-6 years of PHP system architecture and development 
* OO development within the LAMP stack
* MySQL database design and integration
* HTML, JavaScript frameworks (jQuery a plus), CSS and AJAX 
* Source control (SVN)
* Linux operating system
* Caching scenarios (memcached a plus)
* Experience creating and running unit tests
* Familiarity with open source content management systems a plus (such as Drupal and Joomla)
* Experience leading a team of developers
* Must be an effective communicator, highly-motivated and detail-oriented
* Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision and be a valuable contributor in an interactive team environment
