JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
Location: Burbank, CA
This position oversees the administration for the CDE SAS applications.  The role requires several years experience in application system administration or database administration as well as deep knowledge of SAS Business Intelligence Suite, SAS DI Studio and SAS Foundation.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Managerial/Leadership Responsibilities
•          SAS Application Administrator
Establishes and maintains relationships with the Disney Customer Data Environment team members as well as Disney Brand Management Customer Data business owners. Understands key business requirements business and how to apply them in the SAS application
·         Establishes development, QA and production environments
·         Performs implementation of:
o        SAS Software
o        Security Requirements
o        DB Schemas and Repositories
Daily Tasks:
  • Monitors and manages Customer Data Environment system performance as needed
  • Configures and maintains hardware platforms and operating systems
  • Installs and configures SAS software
  • Enforces system level security and access
  • Monitors and manages CDE Data Store performance as needed
  • Responsible for generating tables, reports, graphs, using various SAS features
  • Monitors data usage and access
  • Translates the logical dimensional model to a physical model
  • Determines appropriate database sizing
  • Generates physical database
  • Designs and implements partitioning and indexing strategy for the physical database
  • Enforces database level security and access
REQUIREMENTS
Years Experience:    
  
·         7 to 10 years of progressive experience in an IT related field
·         4-6 years of experience with SAS Applications, SAS Foundation, SAS Business Intelligence Suite, SAS
 
 
 
Education:
·         Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, or equivalent experience
·         SAS Foundation Application Training or Certification, SAS DI Studio Certification
