(Job ID BE634458) Our client is a well-funded early stage San Francisco startup operating at the crossroads of web and mobile, and they're looking for highly skilled front-end website developers with a passion for creating products that will change the lives of millions of tomorrow's mobile users.

The service they've built is a pretty awesome platform from which to launch a company, but where they(and their users) go with it will depend to a large degree on you and your work. You'll be doing work in some of the most interesting areas of social media, mobile, monetization (not ads) in the world today, and will be responsible for getting the products to be used by millions of people around the world.  This opportunity is huge, and they need front-end development help at a level that will enable them to meet their challenges.

They are looking for experienced, dedicated front-end website developers with mind-boggling (perhaps gravity-defying) programming and creative skills as well as the spirit and stamina to flourish in a chaotic, light-speed startup environment.

Responsibilities:

  • will be doing some of the most advanced website development and application design in the world today
  • will build out user front ends that will be used by millions of people
  • will be with Javascript, AJAX, HTML, and CSS
  • will work closely with engineering, product and creative teams and create exceptional experiences for customers

Qualifications:

  • must have 4+ years experience in AJAX scripting using Javascript, writing HTML, and writing standards-based CSS
  • must have 4+ years experience integrating front-end code with middle-tier systems
  • must have a deep knowledge of browser compatibility and HTML bug avoidance
  • must have an obsessive interest in elegant UI design
  • should have experience with Perl and/or Java
  • must have a current understanding of developing trends in relevant fields and emerging standards
  • must have a Computer Science degree from a top-tier school (note: if you are a genius this requirement may be waived)
  • must have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a small, tight-knit engineering team
  • must have ability to scoff heedlessly and succeed brilliantly at impossible tasks under insane deadlines
