Senior Communication Services Engineer -- IT

Location: Mountain View, CA (location flexible)

Responsibilities:

 

This person will be responsible for leading the Communication Services Network Engineering and Design function within IIT. This role partners closely with Product Development-IT, Business Units, Data Center Strategy, and other key partners that impact the IIT eco-system.

 

  • Creates network designs aligned to our Network Reference Architecture
  • Defines hardware, software, and configuration standards
  • Requirements gathering, analysis, and network design proposals
  • Network design validation and testing
  • Technical leadership
  • Expert troubleshooting skills
  • Identifies process improvement opportunities
  • Develops workflow and process automation procedures
  • Sorts through complex issues and conducts comparative analysis of multiple solutions.

 

Requirements:

 

·        Bachelors Bachelor's Degree required

·        Related experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree

·        10+ Years experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting the following: routers, switches, firewalls, load-balancers, virtualization, data centers

·        Expert knowledge of LAN/WAN networking, TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP, routing, switching, workstations, operating systems, and applications data flows

·        Certifications: one or more of the following: CCIE, CISSP, CCNA, or CCNP

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must

·        Excellent customer service skills

·        Prioritizes and performs a variety of concurrent tasks with minimal direction or supervision

·        Ability to influence others

·        Experience with Cisco, F5, Crossbeam, Juniper, and other technologies

·        Experience with HP, BMC and/or other data center automation tools

·        Ability to have constructive debates to reach the best outcome for Intuit

·        Can overcome obstacles and develop partnerships

·        Some travel is required: 25%
