We are looking for a Software Engineer who is passionate about release and deployment practices of large, distributed web 2.0 applications. In this role, you will participate in improving and automating the LinkedIn release pipeline to increase quality and efficiency of the product release process. You will also be responsible for coordinating the deployment from the release train into the integration lab and assisting in the validation of the deployment rehearsal for production.

Responsibilities:

* Defining, designing and implementing tools and applications to aid with the deployment and monitoring of the integration lab.
* Defining, designing and implementing tools and applications to support and automate the Linkedin release pipeline.
* Support and coordinate release activities during feature integration.
* Coordinate and perform release deployments into the integration lab following the production rollout procedures.
* Create production grade release artifacts using the existing build tools.


Requirements:

* Excellent lab survival skills: networking, system administration, and automation.
* Experience with deploying and monitoring java based, distributed web applications
* Excellent groovy/java/grails developer
* Excellent ant skills
* Excellent troubleshooting skills
* Experience with one or more scripting languages: Shell, Ruby, Perl, Python
* Experience with product development processes and tools
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
