Description: We are looking for a talented UNIX Systems Engineer to help support Salesforce.com's diverse systems environment. The successful candidate will focus on our large-scale backup infrastructure and will work closely with the rest of the Technical Operations team to ensure that the Salesforce.com service is available and performing flawlessly at all times.


Required Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in large-scale unix environments focusing on Linux and Solaris (Sparc + x86) operating systems.
  • Experience in enterprise backup infrastructure including but not limited to:
  • Veritas Netbackup
  • Fiber-channel tape drives
  • Cisco MDS fabric switchs
  • Remote tape cloning/replication
  • RMAN backups/restores, filesystem backups/restores
  • Experience in enterprise systems environments
  • DNS/NTP/Kerberos
  • Jumpstart/Kickstart
