Web Analytics Research Scientist for the world's largest publisher of social entertainment applications. We offer people the ability to engage and have fun with one another using the relationships they've already developed on social networks like Facebook and MySpace (youth market focus,18-34 y/o's). Location: San Francisco, CA (locals only)
We are a data driven company and are looking for a Web Analytics Research Scientist with exceptionally strong quantitative and analytical skills to perform detailed quantitative analyses and use them to guide product and business development.
Responsibilities:
Conduct deep data driven analyses that answer business critical questions.
Brainstorm and implement software to make novel measurements on our users for internal use.
Extend and maintain reporting codebase.
Perform both regular and ad-hoc analyses using both Python and MySQL to manipulate large amounts of data.
Work closely with product managers to ensure that all key metrics are being tracked with each product release.
Gather, track and analyze key performance metrics to provide explanations for significant changes and drive overall business growth.
Qualifications:
2-4 years experience in a relevant field such as quantitative finance, software development, data-mining
or product management.
The drive to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
A strong interest in online social networks and network/user dynamics.
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field is required. Graduate work is preferred.
Experience with Python/MySQL/R is preferred but not required.
