Job Description:
The CBSi Business Media Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will collaborate with Development Engineers and Product Managers throughout the software development lifecycle in a fast-paced development environment. He/She will lead UI and module level functional automation test initiatives in design and implementations. He/She may also lead QA contractors from outsource agencies.

The successful candidate is also expected to take the lead role in defining new processes and/or refining existing ones, identifying opportunities for automation and managing test execution at release boundaries.

Major Duties:
Develop and execute test plans that validate the product specifications and requirements, document test results, track and manage bugs
Implement automation tests for PHP and Java based web applications.
Guide other engineers on how to develop, execute and maintain test scripts.
Validate system architectures to ensure performance, scalability, availability, recoverability, and security of very large-scale web applications
Conduct load and stress tests and benchmark performance numbers
Work closely with software engineers to design, develop, and extend unit test programs, including automated test suites as needed
Help build and maintain a culture of quality within the Development organization.

Required Experiences/Skill Sets:
5 years of Software QA ; specifically developing Test Automation frameworks - both GUI and server-side
3 years experience with automated test tools
3 years with PHP, Java, JavaScript, Shell/other scripting languages
2 years with XML, Adobe Flash/Air technologies
1 years with PHPUnit/JUnit
Strong Database knowledge, especially in MySQL
Proficiency with both Windows and Linux
Familiarity with Source Control systems e.g. Subversion
Experience mentoring junior Engineers
Experience with Agile development processes
Strong problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly motivated and passionate about Quality
Experience with managing contractors
Speaking proficiency in Mandarin a plus.
