Come join and help shape the future for SaaS (OnDemand) software solutions at Ariba! The Ariba User Interface team is looking for a gifted, energetic, and seasoned software architect to join them in delivering on this vision.
The UI team at Ariba is responsible for the development of the cutting-edge Ariba UI framework. Ariba’s UI framework is a core differentiating component for our company and our applications teams; it is leveraged by hundreds of developers in all of the Ariba products, and is used by millions of Ariba users around the world.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Your job will be to play a critical role in the development of the future of the Ariba UI framework.

Your strategic responsibilities will be to help build the vision for each of the core components of the framework, including, for example AribaWeb (Ariba’s open-source core UI framework, more at www.aribaweb.org), the Ariba dashboard, and the Ariba admin framework. To build this vision you will work with our technical leadership, product management, application teams and our customers to identify the critical roadmap for Ariba UI.

Day-to-day your job will be to work with a close, tight-knit team of talented and experienced developers to prototype, build, iterate on and ship, great code.

Basic Minimum Qualifications::
• 7+ years experience developing production-grade web applications
• 3+ years direct programming experience with user interface frameworks (Struts, JSF, Tapestry, Rails, ZK, Wicket, GWT, etc)
• High-level of expertise with web technologies HTTP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XMLHTTP, Web Servers including Apache, Tomcat
• Excellent communication skills
• BS or MS in CS or equivalent

• Passion for UI development, UI “smarts” and a bias toward building frameworks
• First-class object-oriented design and programming skills
