Multi-channel publishing company seeks a strong leader and motivator with excellent business acumen – who leads the direction of an IT group that is in line with the business goals. Must demonstrate outstanding customer service skills and be a high energy, highly motivated professional who instills confidence in others. Job Summary: This position has 6 or more direct reports and requires that the candidate have solid experience as a manager who can set direction, vision, strategy, best practices and mentor the staff. Responsible for the overall management and direction of all Information Technology services and projects including, the design and maintenance of the company network and telecom systems, the development of systems and process manuals to support business operations, the establishment of IT related policies, and the introduction of new or integrated systems. Duties and Responsibilities: · Develop, implement and support IT Infrastructure and business systems. · Ensure proper development, planning, budgeting and execution of department business plan and strategy. · Staff development and succession plan for all key positions. · Propose and prioritize projects based on the needs of the business. · Develop and present annual expense and capital budget for approval. · Promote a customer-oriented department focused on quality of service. · Ensure effective IT policies, procedures and standards are implemented and followed throughout the company. · Direct the implementation of system upgrades and enhancements. · Present regular updates of IT infrastructure and business system performance to senior management. · Ensure that Disaster Recovery plans are maintained and that technical risks are managed. · Improve utilization and effectiveness of existing IT systems and move towards consistent applications throughout the company and promote cost reducing initiatives. · Oversee the relationship with external vendors to assure best pricing, service options and quality delivery of services. · Maintain IT licensing and statutory compliance within the company. Requirements/Skills: · 8 years of IT management experience with direct responsibility for infrastructure and business systems. · Demonstrated knowledge in contract management and vendor negotiations. · Experience managing and developing an IT staff. · Recent experience in planning and implementing system and/or integrating business systems. · Experience in planning, budgeting and execution of department business plan and strategy. · Working knowledge of IT best practices. · Proven strong leadership skills and experience. Education Required: BS in business technology. MS in technology preferred.
