Yahoo! Groups is looking for a highly talented senior application engineer to join our world-class engineering team.   You will be responsible for learning our legacy system, as well as helping us build the next generation user experience for the largest community site in Yahoo!.  Depending on skills and experience, this position could be a Lead or Architect position.
 
** Required Skills
            Solid Experience with C/C++.
            Solid Experience with Java.
            Working knowledge of Java Spring IOC and MVC.
            Working knowledge of JMS.
            Experience with Hibernate.
            Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
            Ability to make engineering assessment to fill in the gaps.
            Strong teamwork skills.
            Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
 BS Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related Technical Discipline required
            5+ years minimum experience building web applications.
 
**Preferred Skills
           Prior Experieince with Python
Working experience with Maven.
Experience with XML/XSL/XPATH.
Experience with large scale serving system like the web.
Experience in the area of performance analysis and tuning.
Experience with full life cycle (design, implementation, testing, releasing and sustaining) of a large project.
Solid object-oriented design / programming experience.
