The Impact You’ll Have at RP

The Sales Team Lead works closely with the Regional Director, and is responsible for overseeing and facilitating the success of the sales reps in the business unit.  This includes mentoring and providing leadership to ensure the attainment of overall goals, including revenue attainment, pipeline development and management, and market share penetration.  Though this role does not include traditional reporting responsibility, it does require an ability to provide hands-on coaching, training, and peer management.

  • Provides the Regional Director with sales management reports and updates that reflect individual rep attainment, overall market trends and product/service needs.
  • Maintains an individual sales goal/quota, while providing team leadership.
  • Assists the sales reps with sales strategy and tactics, including reviewing presentations and proposals, overcoming challenges, and objections, sharing product knowledge, discussing pricing options, and negotiating contracts.
  • Ensures the reps maintain an active and accurate pipeline.

Job Specific Competencies:

  • COMMUNICATION – Communicates well both verbally and in writing; utilizes appropriate medium for communication based on the situation, delivers effective presentations, shares information and ideas with others, has good listening skills. Has ability to explain abstract / complex concepts to middle & upper management, both verbally and in writing, and influence behavior.
  • SALES GOALS - Achieves revenue growth goals.  Maintains a healthy and active pipeline.  Balances activity between inbound lead cultivation, and outbound prospecting and networking.
  • SALES ADMINISTRATION - Actively uses SF.com to manage territory, record opportunities and manage the pipeline.  Consistently provides information back to the organization regarding market conditions, competitive intelligence and prospect needs and inquiries.
  • SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SKILLS - Effectively prospects, identifies business needs,  uncovers implications and demonstrates capabilities. Has outstanding listening skills and effectively uses negotiation to handle concerns or conflict and move to close; closes business effectively. Understands the value based sale, is competent in SPIN Selling, and actively uses marketing tools and services to support sales goals.
  • PEOPLE COACHING - Ongoing feedback & coaching of teammates, mentoring new-hires to success, fosters curiosity and questioning approach to troubleshooting and client engagement, assess skill levels, competencies and training needs for team, fosters communication and collaboration among the team, pace setting/role modeling, provides training and development opportunity to set team members up for success.
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of work and education
  • Travel Required- Minimal
