This opportunity is with our direct client, a local government agency. The salary at the time of roll-over to full time status will be $80k - $90k.

Provides installation, maintenance, and tuning of a UNIX hardware and software systems and Windows system administration.

System Administrator

Position Requirements:

Installation, maintenance, and tuning of a UNIX hardware and software systems.
A minimum of 5 years of system administration experience with UNIX systems (AIX/BSD/Solaris/Linux).
At least 5 years of experience supporting SAN Storage (IBM SAN, EMC, etc.) .
At least 2 years of system administration with NT 4.0/Windows 2000/Windows 2003.
Experience with Active Directory, DNS/DHCP/WINS and general troubleshooting skills.
Experience with Symantec Ghost software or other imaging software.
At least 1 year of experience with HACMP or similar clustering technology.
Knowledge in DNS, sendmail, NFS, SSH, Apache, etc.
Experience in Unix performance tuning.
Ability to write shell scripts using Bourne, C, or Korn shells.
Good analytical and problem solving skills.
Architecture of server infrastructure in a multi-tier environment.
Knowledge of network hardware and software concepts, configuration, installation, and testing.
Must be available to participate in rotating on-call 24 hours, 7 days a week.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
