Spot Marketplace (SMP) is Platform-A’s non-reserved display bidding platform for advertisers seeking full transparency on price and placement. In addition, marketers have the opportunity to control their own campaigns with the SMP user interface. Functionalities with the user interface include daily bid/price changes and pausing/unpausing of campaigns. Later this year, the program will be launching a next generation user interface (called Bidplace) which will launch as self-service solution with several enhancements for marketers including real time avails, price volume analysis, recommended bids, and a creative gallery.
The SMP Program Mgr. will be responsible for the success of client’s SMP/Bidplace campaign. They will partner with regional AE/Account Directors on all assigned SMP accounts to drive the full revenue potential of the campaign and take lead on campaign renewal and up sells post-sale. Must be highly detail-oriented, energetic, and possess a proven track record of Account Mgmt success. Lastly they must have superior problem solving and analytical ability to ensure client expectations are surpassed.
I. Principal Responsibilities
1. Join Regional Sales team in internal/external meetings during pre-sale phase to ensure best practices and expectations are set for the product.
2. Engage with Sales/AM lead to ensure proper transition occurs to post launch phase with delivery managers. Secondly, the program mgr. should educate client on the Adbid/Bidplace interface to ensure they are comfortable with all the functionalities it has to offer.
3. Proactively review all recommendations/suggestions with delivery manager running in the region to a) close gap on budget received vs actual delivered and b) up-sell clients post-launch to drive additional revenue beyond the contracted amount
4. Lead renewal process for existing deals including recommendations/ideas to help drive business forward.
5. Work with delivery to provide key analysis on placements and bid suggestions to ensure the success of the campaign.
6. Train/educate regional sales and account management on the product process, the proposition to client, and any enhancements to the user interface.
7. Act as a main point of contact for your SMP Delivery Manager to externally communicate recommendations/analytics/suggestions.
8. Provide feedback to Account Director on process/product improvements to create efficiencies
9. Coordinate across other Platform-A departments to cross-sell SMP product
II. Qualifications: Knowledge, Experience, Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Experience: 4-7 years of total business experience preferred, with 3-6 years in Sales, marketing, or client services. Experience with exchanges or performance based advertising is a plus.
Specialized Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Media Sales and Digital Advertising Industry; Industry news/trends; MS office. Knowledge of Platform-A brands and technology is a plus.
Skills: Ability to analyze client ROS, goals, metrics, project management, excellent communication (written and verbal); interpersonal/relationship management, problem solving, independent thinking, focused time management, sales training a plus.
