Partner Account Manager
Kansas or Nebraska
The Partner Account Manager (PAM) - Sales (Community) is responsible for building and managing a partner community of top tier “platform” partners in the Nebraska, Iowa and Kansas. The primary skills for this position include business planning, opportunity management, sales coaching, and marketing readiness. This person will ensure that partners are enabled in a selling, marketing, and technical capacity.
The PAM will: manage the partner opportunity pipeline; broker partners into opportunities; leverage existing field and telesales efforts to drive partner business opportunity; resource and support partner driven sales efforts; drive pre-assigned qualified opportunities with partners; successfully execute corporate generated campaigns such as the Go To Markets; and facilitate Microsoft field engagement to shorten sales cycles on key opportunities.
This person will also evangelize partner’s capabilities into the geography’s sales team clearly identifying and articulating partner value propositions to Microsoft sales teams to create proactive engagement with partners resulting in net new opportunities and growth in the partner’s overall business with Microsoft. They will engage with partners in driving opportunities end-to-end providing assistance and support on customer-facing sales activities and opportunity management and participate in joint sales and marketing planning with partners based on agreed commitment, rules of engagement, and go-market-initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a breadth of knowledge in the mid market customer segment. Qualifications include 8+ years sales and/or partner management experience, and a BS/BA in Business, Marketing or a computer-related field is required.
Additional experiences/skills/knowledge required: previous & consistent experience in sales quota overachievement, analytical thinking & execution, Microsoft platform licensing knowledge, consultative solution selling skills, knowledge of Microsoft’s products. Teamwork and communication skills are critical, particularly in matrixed management organization.
This position can be located in Kansas or Nebraska.
