Microsoft Sales Account Manager

Account Manager – As a Sales Account Manager you will be responsible for managing customer accounts in a specific territory. Core goals will include attainment of all revenue goals, driving platform design wins and maintaining high customer satisfaction. While the Account Manager will not have any direct reports; they will lead a virtual team of encompassing technical specialists, solution specialists, managing consultants, premier support specialists and key stakeholders within the product groups.
Required skills include:
· Ability to develop complex sales strategies that clearly define goals, strategies/tactics and metrics for measuring success.
· Excellent written and verbal skills and a proven track record in dealing with CXO level and calling on senior executives within accounts.
· Must be able to sell at a strategic level in the account and be able to develop strategies to move forward and close opportunities.
· Ability to understand customer's business and work with the account team to architect a buying vision around Microsoft solutions that solve business issues.
· Operational excellence in managing a pipeline of opportunities, revenue forecasting and conducting account/forecast reviews with senior management.
· Manage all aspects of the relationship between the customer, Microsoft, and industry partners.
· The ideal candidate can effectively use executive resources at Microsoft to move opportunities forward.
Qualifications should include 5-8 years sales experience in enterprise accounts, ideally in selling software solutions. A successful track record of exceeding revenue goals and a solid understanding of industry technical solutions and strategic direction or a solid understanding of competitive solutions and the ability to quickly gain solid understanding of Microsoft technologies, solutions, and business value. Microsoft licensing program knowledge a plus. BA/BS degree preferred. Applicants must be willing to travel.
