Sr Product Manager for Community and UX

FixYa is a community of 12 million members and visitors who share, learn and connect over tech and consumer support tips. From fixing cars, to cameras, to iPhones, the FixYa community of hobbyists, tinkerers and gadget-savvy stay-at-home moms share real world experience and practical advice. FixYas are part of a DIY revolution for all consumer product support. FixYa is a 3 year old start-up with funding from the Mayfield Fund and Pitango Venture Capital.
SUMMARY:
The senior product manager will own product requirements for consumer facing features and user experience related to our community of experts and askers. You will report directly to the VP of Product, and will be a key hire for the FixYa product and design team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Define the right feature set and product road map to drive user engagement.
• Define product requirements for key features, working with our in-house web designers. This includes drafting specs as well as wireframes for the features.
• Work with engineering and marketing teams to execute the product road map, with guidance from management.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in product management or related fields including user experience designer for a consumer Internet product or service.
• Must be passionate about emerging web technologies, Web 2.0 and community building with a demonstrated track record of execution.
